The Netherlands-Uganda Trade and Investment Platform (NUTIP) NUTIP_ Kampala was pleased to participate in the recently concluded EU Uganda Business Hub, held under the theme “Driving Investment, Renewable Energy Partnerships & Green Industrialisation under the Global Gateway Strategy.”

The forum brought together European and Ugandan stakeholders to explore investment opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support Uganda’s green industrial transformation.

Through the Netherlands Exhibition booth, NUTIP_Kampala joined Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda participating businesses to showcase innovative solutions and investment opportunities across renewable energy, sustainable housing, clean mobility, and related sectors.

We were honoured to welcome Hon. Dr Monica Musenero Masanza Minister of Energy and Mineral Development and our Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Cooperation Bouwe-Jan Smeding at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda to the exhibition booth. Her visit underscored the importance of collaboration between government, development finance institutions, and the private sector in advancing Uganda’s sustainable development ambitions.

The Netherlands continues to support innovative businesses contributing to Uganda’s energy transition. Through FMO – Dutch entrepreneurial development bank financing for electric motorcycle batteries and battery-swapping infrastructure is helping advance cleaner, more accessible transport solutions. Such initiatives demonstrate how Dutch expertise, investment, and innovation can contribute to sustainable mobility while unlocking new business opportunities in Uganda.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the EU Uganda Business Hub , H.E Jan Sadek, EU Ambassador to Uganda and the organisers for bringing together key stakeholders and creating a platform for meaningful engagement between European and Ugandan businesses.
