NUTIP yesterday participated in the Netherlands Agro Trade Mission to Uganda kicked off with a breakfast meeting at Fairway Hotel in Kampala, bringing together the Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development, and 12 Dutch Enterprises looking for opportunities to forge long-lasting partnerships with Ugandan agro-businesses.
During the session our Board Member Sjaak de Bloois shared a detailed overview and what it takes to invest in Uganda: Investment potential, finance, climate-smart solutions, digitalization, sustainable agronomy practices, and Labor and Legal process.
One of our members Bram Willem van den Bosch from Emata that provides digital and affordable financial products to farmers in East Africa also shared deep insight into Digital agri-tech Financing in Uganda.
Following this session, Dutch-Uganda companies/entrepreneurs will be showcasing at the #HarvestMoneyExpo2024, where farmers, suppliers, and agribusinesses will further showcase their products and services as well as forge networks between Uganda and the Netherlands.
Special thanks to ASIGMA for coordinating this event and identifying opportunities and matchmaking relationships between the Ugandan and Dutch enterprises.
