SNV is a not-for-profit international development organisation founded in 1965. SNV has built a long-term, local presence in 39 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. Their mission is to empower people to pursue their own sustainable development by developing their capacities and linking them to services and opportunities that they need to live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives, while sustainably using the natural resources they depend on.
SNV has been present in Uganda since 1989 and currently supports interventions in 100 districts across the country. Their focus is in three sectors: agriculture; renewable energy; and water, sanitation and hygiene. For more information about SNV’s work, please visit their website: www.snvworld.org/uganda
