Earlier this week, the Hanze East Africa Hub (HEAH), in partnership with NUTIP Kampala, hosted an engaging networking event that brought together NUTIP members, Dutch companies based in Uganda, and key partners from across the region.
The event attracted participants from diverse sectors including agribusiness and food processing, renewable energy and sustainable housing, financial and professional services, ICT and BPO solutions, human resource development, and innovation and development cooperation.
The evening opened with a warm welcome and presentation by Linda Maat, Director of HEAH, followed by remarks from Martijn Harlaar, Chair of the NUTIP Board, and Bouwe-Jan Smeding, Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In their remarks, they emphasized the pivotal role that NUTIP continues to play in promoting investment, partnerships, and collaboration between Uganda and the Netherlands.
Participants then engaged in dynamic speed-dating sessions, fostering meaningful conversations, exploring ongoing projects, and identifying new opportunities for cooperation across sectors.
The event provided a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, business matchmaking, and partnership development.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to Linda Maat and the entire HEAH team, including Nikhil Satija, Jan Bekkering, Jonathan Tipping, and Sarah de Leeuw, as well as NUTIP Kampala, for curating such an impactful and inspiring event.
We look forward to building on these connections and strengthening partnerships between Uganda and the Netherlands in the years ahead.
