NUTIP was honoured to participate in the vibrant celebration of King’s Day, held in honour of the 58th birthday of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. We extend our sincere thanks to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda for organising such a memorable evening — one filled with music, colour, and inspiring conversations. It was a true reflection of the warm and ever-strengthening ties between the Netherlands and Uganda.
Ambassador Frederieke Quispel marked the occasion with reflections on her first year in Uganda, emphasizing the shared values and collaborative spirit that unite our two countries. Her remarks highlighted the importance of promoting women’s rights through initiatives such as #WomenUganda2025, as well as the strong ongoing cooperation in agriculture — a key sector for both Uganda and many NUTIP members. She also expressed optimism for continued collaboration in areas such as food security, migration, and public health.
In her words: “And as we confront the challenges of our time, let us do so together with conviction, creativity, and shared purpose.” It was a fitting message for a festive evening that reminded us of what is possible when we work together.
We thank Hon. Minister Norbert Mao, our esteemed Guest of Honour, and extend a special appreciation to our NUTIP members who generously sponsored and participated in the event, including:
