About Us

The Netherlands – Uganda Trade and Investment Platform (NUTIP), is a Ugandan association that harnesses the economic power of cooperation between Dutch and Ugandan entrepreneurs.

The Netherlands–Uganda Trade and Investment Platform (NUTIP) is a member-based organization comprising over 75 companies and organizations engaged in trade, investment, and partnerships between the Netherlands and Uganda. Our membership represents a diverse range of sectors including agribusiness, manufacturing, renewable energy, logistics, tourism, ICT, finance, construction, consulting, and development cooperation. Members range from large multinational companies to medium and small-scale enterprises that are already operating or seeking to invest in Uganda.

NUTIP’s primary objective is to provide a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among members and stakeholders. We aim to strengthen trade and investment relations between the Netherlands and Uganda by promoting business opportunities, sharing market insights, and supporting partnerships that drive sustainable and inclusive growth.

In addition, NUTIP serves as a key voice for the Dutch business community in Uganda, fostering constructive dialogue with the Government of Uganda, development partners, and the private sector. Through advocacy and collaboration, we strive to contribute to a predictable and enabling business environment that supports responsible and impactful investments.

Act as a catalyst in the growth of businesses in Uganda by contributing to productivity and innovation.

OUR OBJECTIVES

Bring together businesses from the Netherlands and Uganda to promote common private sector investment interests.
Work as a one-stop centre for information about the investment environment with regard to opportunities, research, challenges, policy briefings and matchmaking.
Create market linkages between the Netherlands and Uganda.
Promote a good working relationship between private sector communities in the two countries and, when possible, develop Europe-Uganda relations.
Act as a precursor to the establishment of chambers of commerce by the Netherlands as well as Europe as a whole.
We expect large companies to mentor SMEs to success.
