TAHMO / TU Delft
Trans-African Hydro Meteorological observatory (TAHMO) is a spin from The Technical University of Delft (TU Delft) with the aim of setting up over 20,000 Automatic Weather Stations across sub-Saharan Africa, to generate ground weather data to validate satellite data and improve weather forecasts and related services. TU Delft was founded in the Netherlands in 1842, providing technical education. It is a modern university of science and technology with 8 faculties who are at the forefront of technological developments contributing to scientific advancement on the interests of world society. Where possible we add value and share knowledge e.g. by organising tailor made trainings, encouraging student exchange and creating value by implementing technical innovations where they generate the greatest impact.
