Anja has over 20 years’ experience in the horticultural private sector: she has extensive experience in implementing and managing agricultural projects, support and development of networks, matchmaking between farmers and firms, B2B and personal 16 year experience in running a horticultural business in East Africa. She is the founder of House of Seeds Ltd and Cycas International Ltd, two vegetable seed and service companies who are importing seeds from professional breeders in the Netherlands. As the Executive Director (a.i.) of the Agribusiness Development Centre (ADC) which is powered by the Rabobank Foundation and the dfcu bank, she is actively involved in providing Farmer Based Organisation financial literacy services and access to finance.
Until 2015 she was an active member of the Presidential Investors Round Table (PIRT) – Technical Work Group Agriculture (TWG), representing the vegetable sector and advising the Office of the Prime Minister and the President on Agricultural Development in Uganda. The TWG works closely with Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) responsible for the secretariat.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Law, Makerere University, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, LDC & an LLM from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa.Edgar has had a distinguished career in academia as a Law School Dean, Senior Lecturer in Law with over 20 academic publications in peer-reviewed journals.

He has worked for the CGIAR from 1998-2016 as an award-winning scientist on sustainable intensification of cropping systems, including coffee, banana, cocoa and rice. Since her university years she has been an Entrepreneur. She (co) founded several companies in the Netherlands and in Spain in the field of recruitment, talent development and staffing. As a national board member of the Dutch Red Cross she realized again how valuable it is to literally open your horizons once in a while. She decided to live and work in East Africa with her husband and young children for some years. Best decision ever!
She loves to engage people and develop teams to grow (scalable) companies.She believes strongly in the power of entrepreneurship to create impact that can change lives. She is currently running an accelerator program for Ugandan youth and women Agripreneurs.
