Anneke Elisabeth de Feijter
House Of Seeds Ltd.
Anja has over 20 years’ experience in the horticultural private sector: she has extensive experience in implementing and managing agricultural projects, support and development of networks, matchmaking between farmers and firms, B2B and personal 16 year experience in running a horticultural business in East Africa. She is the founder of House of Seeds Ltd and Cycas International Ltd, two vegetable seed and service companies who are importing seeds from professional breeders in the Netherlands. As the Executive Director (a.i.) of the Agribusiness Development Centre (ADC) which is powered by the Rabobank Foundation and the dfcu bank, she is actively involved in providing Farmer Based Organisation financial literacy services and access to finance.
Until 2015 she was an active member of the Presidential Investors Round Table (PIRT) – Technical Work Group Agriculture (TWG), representing the vegetable sector and advising the Office of the Prime Minister and the President on Agricultural Development in Uganda. The TWG works closely with Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) responsible for the secretariat.
In June 2017 Anja became the Chairperson of NUTIP.
Cenergy Global Ltd.
Deborah is currently the managing director of Cenergy Global Ltd., a renewable energy project that protects the environment and supports food security in Uganda. Prior to her appointment to Cenergy Global, she worked as the operations director at D & J Rwenzori Inc. in Houston, Texas.
Deborah Mugabi joined NUTIP in 2014 and was among the members who visited the Netherlands on NUTIP’s first trade mission. She is brings 18 years of management experience in fast-paced international and local business environments, expertise in marketing and customer-centric operations, and a proven record of developing and growing startup companies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Paul van Apeldoorn
Executive Director / Chief of Business
dfcu Bank Ltd.
Paul van Apeldoorn has served as the executive director / chief of business of dfcu Bank Ltd. since October 2013. He joined the NUTIP board in March 2014.
Before joining dfcu Bank he held several managerial positions between 1998 and 2006 within the Dutch Rabobank local bank network. In 2007 he joined the Rabobank International affiliate in Poland, Bank BGZ, where he was appointed as head of retail banking.
From 2010 – 2013 Paul worked for Banque Populaire du Rwanda (BPR), a Rabo Development B.V. partner bank. During his time at BPR he held the positions of chief commercial officer and acting chief executive officer.
Paul studied at the School of Economics in Rotterdam and holds a master’s degree in business administration.

Uganda Liaison Office
Edward is a business development manager/consultant at PEJA East Africa B.V (Uganda Liaison Office). He joined the NUTIP board in May 2017. He has 8 years’ experience in consultancy working with private sector agencies and NGOs in training in analytical, operational, and management skills development and capacity building.
Edward is also a lecturer/associate consultant at Uganda Management Institute (UMI) in general management, quantitative methods and research methods since 2014. As a trained teacher, he formerly worked as a Head Teacher and Deputy Principal at Taibah International School where he gained 10 years’ experience in institutional management and championing educational reforms (2008 – 2017).
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Education (Biology/Chemistry) from Makerere University and a Master’s Degree in Management Studies from UMI.
